In France, faire un câlin, une caresse à son amoureux (to give one’s lover a cuddle, a caress), se blottir contre lui ou elle (to snuggle up against him or her) are daily romantic gestures.
But a little more créativité (f.) (creativity) de temps en temps (from time to time) is necessary pour sortir de la routine (to break the routine) and revive love’s flame.
Matin (morning)
The great classic: Le petit déjeuner au lit (breakfast in bed), apportés sur un plateau (brought on a tray), complete with croissants chauds (warm croissants), café au lait, oeufs (eggs), jus d’orange frais (fresh orange juice), and un clin d’oeil (wink).
Put a little card with un petit mot like “j’ai hâte à ce soir” (looking forward/impatient/dying for tonight) in her purse or lunch box.
Write little messages on le miroir (the mirror) in the condensation, or using du rouge à lèvres (some lipstick).
Midi (noon)
Déjeuner surprise (surprise lunch): Meet her or him at his or her office to have lunch together, either un resto (fam.)(restaurant) or un pique-nique (picnic) in the park.
Livraison (f.) surprise (surprise delivery): without any reason, send des fleurs (flowers), des chocolats (chocolates) to the office, with a little note or sms (m.) (text) that you love him or her, with un message coquin (naughty/mischievous message) if you feel like it.
Soir (evening)
Jouez avec ses cheveux (play with his/her hair) as both of you watch TV.
Caress son visage (his/her face) doucement (softly) quand vous embrassez (you kiss), to make des bisous (kisses) qui sortent de l’ordinaire (that are out of the ordinary).
