La Fashion Week de Paris (also called Semaine de la mode à Paris) is a series of famous weeks of défilés de mode (fashion show; lit. fashion parades). Held semi-annually in Paris since 1973 for both haute couture and prêt-à-porter, it is one of the four largest international fashion shows, with London, Milan and New York.
Fashion Week occurs in various locations around the city. Prêt-à-porter (Ready-to-wear) runs from February 26 to March 6, 2013 for the Fall Winter 2013/2014 collections. Celebrities and the élite attend these events.
