Mia’s Italian: Buon Giorno, Buon Pomeriggio, Buona Sera!

Hi again, everyone! Yesterday I listened to lesson one vocabulary and grammar lessons on my iPod while I went on a run, which was multitasking at its finest!

I have been able to pick up on a lot already and find myself remembering more and more every time I go back on the Living Language site. I have picked up on introductory phrases, such as mi chiamo Mia (my name is Mia). I have also learned greetings, such as buon giorno, buon pomeriggio, and buona sera (good morning, good afternoon, and good evening), and have been fusing them into my daily conversations.

The lessons are divided in ways that progressively build me up to creating grammatically correct sentences. The dialogue activities particularly helped me to apply my knowledge and test my listening comprehension skills.

I am excited to learn how to say other everyday phrases and learn how to order in a restaurant and how to ask for directions. I should be moving to lesson two any day now and can’t wait to see what else is in store!
