I remember back in 1992 when I was in Turkey. My colleague and I were walking in Istanbul and had lost our way to our motel. I don’t speak Turkish but fortunately there was a big Russian population there during the summer as tourists and those who came every year to sell their products. So my Russian helped us get back to our hotel.
