Visiting a Weihnachtsmarkt (German Christmas Market) is a sure-fire way to get into the holiday spirit. Each year, dozens of Christmas Markets pop up around Germany where local merchants sell their crafts.
If you’re headed to Germany this month, stop by to see the bright lights, smell the heissi marroni (roasted chestnuts), taste the Lebkuchen (gingerbread), sip the Glühwein (spiced mulled wine), and celebrate the season!
Below are images of just a few of these markets around the country. Do you plan to visit a Weihnachtsmarkt this year?
