hi there i am at the begginer level and was wondering what (fam.) and (pol) means. can someone help me thanks in advance.

Hi Kortkoff!Sure, no problem. (fam.) = familiar and (pol.) = polite, so they mark a familiar form (e.g. tú) versus a polite form (e.g. usted).So for instance, How are you (fam.)? = ¿Cómo estas (tú)? while How are you (pol.)? = ¿Cómo está (usted)? Let us know if you have any further questions.-Erin
