Arabic Food Blog

Found this really cool blog with recipes for all sorts of Arabic/Middle Eastern dishes. It's organized by type of dish (starter, soup, main...), by country, by ingredient, and even by occasion.

I can see I'll need more Tahini.

Yum!  I've been wanting to try making falafel from scratch - now I have not one but four recipes to try :)  Thanks.

Let us know how it goes! I'm still trying to perfect hummus, or at least get it reasonably creamy. It works if I add yogurt, but I think that's cheating. I've even gone as far as removing all the hulls from the chickpeas, but that seems insane.

In the meantime, the little Lebanese place around the corner never disappoints!

BAKLAWA - It should be sweet but too sweet just causes pain in the teeth, therefore I use slightly more sugar and rather add a drop or two of lemon juice to make it taste better.

another tip for baklawa - beside the nuts try to use also some raisins (the recipe of local Egyptian restaurant)
