Dropping the e at the end

Grace, that's a really good question!! Dropping the "e" at the end of the first person singular (ich) verb-form is colloquial. "Ich denk' " instead of "ich denke" or "ich geh' " instead of "ich gehe" ... when it appears in writing, it the missing "e" is usually replaced with a " ' " as I did above.
