    hello,

If you were trying to say I am + a verb such as "I am doing homework" or "I am going to work" how would you say it? Because, "io faccio compiti" just means "I do homework" and I want to know how to say, "I am doing"

    Hello,

we have the same verb construction in Italian, with the present of the verb "stare" followed by the action verb in the gerund form. To use your examples, you would then say "Sto facendo i compiti" and "Sto andando al lavoro."
    I hope this helps!
