E-Tutoring Credits

    Hi, could somebody please explain how the e-tutoring credit works?  Is one credit worth one tutoring session?  Thanks.

    Hi Grace,
    Sorry for the delayed reply. Our forum has not been working (which you may have noticed) until recently. 
    To answer your question, yes, one e-Tutoring credit is worth one session. If you cancel, as long as its 48 hours ahead of time, you won't lose your credit. The session lasts 30 minutes, as always, and there are a maximum of 4 students with you (but as you may know, you'll often have the session all to yourself).

    I tried to click on the "this page" but it didn't work so ill just ask you, what are e-tutor credits? am i limited to the amount of sessions i can do if i have the platinum?

    Hi Hunter,
    In October, we introduced the e-Tutoring credit system, so if your subscription started before then, you don't need to use credits.  However, any online courses you start from now and if you renew your course, you will be using credits from then on.  Here's a bit about how it works:

    As far as the number of sessions you can take, you are able to take each of the 13 sessions (starting from Lessons 1-2 or Session 1 to Advanced Unit 4) and repeat each once.  You should be taking the sessions after you cover the corresponding material in the course (e.g. Session 5 after you complete Intermediate Unit 1).

    Hey Erin, does this mean that LL will no longer be selling an open subscription to E-tutoring?  Are the sessions still 30 minutes long? And what is the price for 10 credits?

    The sessions are still 30 minutes long. Platinum Courses come with 12 credits, online courses come with 2 credits, and you can purchase additional tutoring credits in bundles. The pricing information can be found in our FAQ here. As for an "open subscription," we have always limited our subscriptions to a year, and within that year you could only repeat a session once, so it was never entirely "open." But if your question is whether we sell "unlimited" packages for e-Tutoring, then the answer is that we currently do not.
