Is E-tutoring worth it?
  • THoth August 2014
I have gone through the whole program to advanced though am unsure if I should take advantage of the 100 dollar deal. The spanish e-tutoring was great, though it was unlimited. There seems to be a change in policy where only one repeat is allowed of whatever session. Are there any sessions in advanced right now?  Are they sparse and inbetween? Also how many sessions are there in total?

    Thanks ahead of time.

well you can get  10 hours of one on one  at other sites for $100.    At those sites you can  ask about what you want to learn.   What do you need?  and if you try you might be able to do exchanges with a language partner.

    Hi THoth,
The eTutoring sessions are scripted review sessions, intended to be taken once, twice maximum, since otherwise it would become quite repetitive! This is why our guidelines state that you shouldn't take a session more than once.  This is not a new development; the sessions are as they have been since the inception of our eTutoring program. As you move through the material, you should be progressing through the eTutoring sessions as well. So, you should start with the Essential sessions (Lessons 1-2, 3-5, 6-7 and 8-10), then move on to Intermediate sessions and so on.  There are 13 sessions in total, plus the orientation session which all users should start with although it sounds like you've taken eTutoring sessions before, so you may not need it unless you're starting a new language.
If you don't see a session for the level you are at in the course, you can email us at [email protected] and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
    I hope this helps!
    Best,
    Erin
