    Making this post because I'm less than impressed with the app I purchased linked to living language, it's filled with a large number of spelling mistakes in the romaji I'm not sure if it's deliberately done in an attempt to dumb down the lessons or if the app was not properly reviewed before it was released by as it stands it's a substandard resource and I would really like to see it fixed in a future update

    Sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with the Japanese app. All of our courses go through several rounds of reviews by native speaker copy editors, proofreaders,  and reviewers of the course in digital format, but sometimes, mistakes do make it through. If you post here where you found these mistakes, our eTutor Sakura can confirm the correct romaji for you, and this will also help us improve our product.

    この度は、当社のアプリにご満足いただけませんでしたのこと、大変申し訳ございませんでした。大変恐れ入りますが、一つでも構いませんので、具体的にローマ字の誤謬のご指摘をいただけますでしょうか。迅速に訂正いたします。また、私どもの方でも、アプリの内容を全て見直し、誤字脱字を訂正し、アプリの改訂版をリリースいたしたします。今回は貴重なお時間を割いてフィードバックをしていただいたことについて、大変恐縮に存じます。

    ただ、一点ご理解いただきたいことがございます。日本語のローマ字表記には、幾通りかの種類がございまして、当社のアプリでは、音声学に基づくポリシーにより、日本で通常使われているローマ字表記とは異なる表記をしている箇所がございます。例えば、「学生」の発音ですが、平仮名では「がくせい」と書きますので、通常日本人はローマ字ではgakuseiと表記いたします。しかしながら、「学生」という言葉は実際には「がくせえ」、すなわち"gakusee”と発音されます。リビングランゲージでは日本語に初めて触れる学習者のことを思い、「実際にどう発音されるのか」ということを念頭に置き、「学生」という単語の発音を"gakusee"と表記しております。このように、特に二重母音に関しましては、いわゆる「一般的な」ローマ字表記とは異なる表記が見受けられるかもしれません。しかしながら、その他の点におきまして明らかに誤謬であると思われる箇所がございましたら、大変お手数ですが、ご指摘いただけますと助かります。どうかよろしくお願い申し上げます。
