Badges

What is the key to Bades? I am on essential German with App. Lesson nine now with Gold stars in each lesson. I only have 6 Badges. I was racking them up to begin with but have not gotten one since Lesson3, I think.

Is something wrong or am I just not deserving?

I have 6 of 14. Word master 1. I believe it is because I just have the App. Not all the online learning. I did buy the cd and books at a bookstore.

The Word Master badge is achieved when you place your 15th flashcard into the Mastered pile. This may be functionality that you're not using when studying: once you master a word, we recommend that you put it in your mastered deck, which takes it out of the "regular" list so you can focus only on those words you haven't mastered yet.

We'll that was sort of easy enough. I now need five more badges:

Key to the city
Math bee

I. Also have 5 silver medals. All in the match games. I have done some pretty amazing times but still just Silver. I assume there is a link to the medals with Gold in all the games. So now just how fast do you have to get the match games?

I have just had perfect match game. No missed words and I know less than 5 seconds. Again how fast do you have to be to get a Gold star?

Hi Luke,

Can you let us know which game you've tried and failed in? The metrics in general for memory match for a gold medal are no more than 6 mistakes and there is no time limit. This might be a bug with either all memory match games or one game, but we'll need to do some testing to find out. Can you email us at [email protected] with the game(s) you've tried and failed at?

Starter's Pistol: Visit all 16 modules in Lesson 1 including the Take It Furthers, Intro, Recap, Conversations and games

Card Shark: Get 2 gold medals in the Memory Match game

Homebody: Get gold medals on all games in Lesson 4 in Essential

Key to the City: Get gold medals on all games in Lesson 6 of Essential

Math Bee: Get gold medals in all games in Lesson 3 of Essential

The issue I think lies in earning medals. The mistake limit for Matching Cards is 6. There is no time limit. I just tried on our online course and the medals seem to be working there, but this may be a bug in our app only. We'll look into it. Thanks for sending this information!
