Is this a mistake in the book?

    Spanish Essential Textbook
    Page 147 (Prueba corta 2)
    Item B4

    The sentence reads Son las doce y veinte y cinco de la tarde.  The answer is 12:25 p.m.
    I would expect the sentence to read Son las doce y veinticinco de la tarde.

    Is the book version correct?  Is my sentence correct?

    Hola, Allen:

    Both ways of writing numbers are accepted, but the Y has to be an I:

    veinticinco= veinte y cinco

    treintaiséis= treinta y seis

    cuarentaisiete= cuarenta y siete

    I meant that the Y has to be an I when you write 25 in just one word: VEINTICINCO.
