Hi!! I am new to the forum and I am looking forward to learn all that I can from the other members and in no time understand more Japanese!

Welcome! Sakura, our eTutor, has posted a lot of great tips on learning Japanese. I hope you've signed up for your eTutoring Orientation; she'll cover a lot more there. Please explore the forum and see what other students have shared, and share your own tips!

@Chris and Sakura Thanks!! I just completed the first e-tutor session with Sakura and so far it seems like there are alot of obscure facts on Japanese culture...which I find very fascinating!!  I also enjoy the forum with different tidbits of info on the language! I am looking forward to learning more about the lanaguage! Gannbatte!!

Congratulations on completing your first eTutoring session! Speaking the language regularly is the key to success, so I recommend that you sign up for another session soon. I know the next level will be up to Lesson 5, which is a lot. So while you're studying Essential 3-5, you can take Essential 1-2 eTutoring session again and repeatedly until you're ready to take Essential 3-5 session. This is exactly the kind of "learning strategy" many of my students are using, and needless to say, they're making some impressive progress!

Thats great!! I took the the Essential lesson 2 last week and it was a great learning experence,It forces you to be able to speak the language and not simply remember a select set of words.
