E-tutoring Essentials 1 and 2
  • Traveler October 2012

    Buenas Noches,

When will there be an e-tutoring session for the beginner levels scheduled?  I always only see the Intermediate groups available.

    Gracias!

Hi there. Thanks for the question. There are actually a few sessions that I could see for each level in Essential, from now through the end of October. For Spanish, Essential 1-2, we have:

    Wed, 10/24, 6:40
    Tue 10/30, 7:10
    Wed 10/31, 8:30

I'm also seeing sessions for the rest of Essential. Let us know if you're not seeing that.
    Thanks!

Gracias, Christopher.  However, I don't see it listed at all.  When I go into e-tutoring and click on the find a session, it only shows Intermediate Level 2 through to Advanced Conversation.  I've been watching for a while and have never seen anything for Essentials.  Maybe it is my computer?

I'm not sure what it might be, but here are a few ideas. Sorry if this sounds crazy, but when you click on Step 2 (Select Session by Level), you should see a gray scroll bar to the right. If that's all the way down, only Intermediate Unit 5 through Advanced Conversation sessions are visible. If you scroll that bar up (turns blue when you mouse over it), the Orientation, Essential, and earlier Intermediate levels are visible.

Another possibility: If you're getting as far as Step 3 (where you choose a session), make sure you click on the current month.

A last possibility could be to clear your browser's cookies, but I don't think that's the issue. I wouldn't do that until we're sure it's not something else.

If my first two thoughts don't lead anywhere, please send us an e-mail ([email protected]), and one of us will give you a call to walk you through it.

    Thanks!

    Hello Traveler,

I recorded a quick video to show how the level selection should look like:

If you don't see the scroll bar on the right, I suggest to clear the cache and cookies or try a different Internet Browser. I always use Firefox (free) and never had a problem with the Living Language site or the e-tutor sessions. Most students use Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari (only for mac).

    I hope this helps!

Thank you Anna and Christopher for all of your help.  I believe it was my browser as I have downloaded Firefox and it now works.

    Que tenga un buen noche!
