How to type French accents (Windows & Mac)

Many of you have asked how to type French accents on a keyboard. These can be useful for example when we use the chat box during an eTutoring sessions.

Also, on  a Mac, if you have OSX Lion, many of the letter symbols are available by simply holding down the desired key. Ex. By holding down "o" i can get to "œ"
