Buon Anno!

Felice anno nuovo = Happy new year (slightly poetic)

Buon anno = Good year (by far the most common)

Popular saying: Chi [verb] a capodanno [verb] tutto l'anno = He who [any verb] on new years day [any verb] all year. Usually it is used with relatively naughty verbs, but good people use good verbs.
  • Chi studia l'italiano a capodanno studia l'italiano tutto l'anno!
