    Spring Festival is the celebration for the Chinese New Year. This time should be on February 10th 2013. If you have a China town nearby, you might want to join the celebration. 

    Something you can say is:

    恭喜发财 gōng xǐ fā cái [Congratulations and best wishes for a prosperous New Year!]

    During the Spring Festival, family members give to each other “red envelope”. These red envelopes contain $$$. Red envelopes are also given during birthdays and weddings.

    ***** 堆 duī means “pile”. In this case, in Chinese to build a snowman one has to use堆

    Let’s have a party! 一起开个派对吧! yì qǐ kāi gè pài duì bā !
    ***** 开个 kāi gè means “open a”. In this case, in Chinese to have a party one uses开个

    Just playing around with Google Translate, it looks like Christmas literally means "holy birth," and Hanukah literally means "bright." Are those translations accurate?
